If you’re visiting Tokyo, here’s a tip you won’t find in most guidebooks:
“Shinjuku Station” isn’t just one station. It’s actually a cluster of different stations with the same name.
🏢 The Many Faces of Shinjuku Station:
JR Shinjuku Station – The main one, with Yamanote, Chuo, and more
Tokyo Metro Shinjuku Station – Underground, connected to the south area
Toei Shinjuku Station – Separate ticket system (Toei Shinjuku Line)
Seibu Shinjuku Station – About 5–10 minutes’ walk from JR
Shinjuku-Sanchome Station – Connected via long underground passages
💡 Saying “Meet me at Shinjuku Station” is risky.
Always confirm which train line and which exit you mean.
